Former WWE wrestling manager & booker Jim Cornette recently spoke out about the firing of Damien Sandow with the following statement on his Twitter account:
‘’Why is everyone shocked @WWE fired @TheDamienSandow ?? They need more room to hire hoes for Total Divas, can't let wrestlers get in the way!’’

Jim Cornette Controversy
Whilst Cornette is known for his often controversial opinions in various wrestling shoot interviews, he has seldom made remarks of this shocking manner.
Breaking apart what Jim Cornette is saying here, he is clearly frustrated at how the fans and spectators in the wrestling world have reacted in surprise at the shock firing of former WWE superstar Damien Sandow, whom many fans were rooting for and trying to petition to get more air time on WWE programming.
Most shocking, are his comments regarding the WWE Network show ‘Total Divas’ where he expresses discontent at the focus on this programming, in comparison with the recruitment of more wrestlers.
Interestingly, many reports have indicated that WWE employees (in particular commentators) are not allowed to refer to superstars as ‘wrestlers’ and are instead expected to refer to them as ‘Superstars’ or ‘Sports-Entertainers’. They are also not allowed to say other words such as ‘weapon’ as WWE seeks to retain its current ‘PG’ product.
Is he right?
Jim Cornette’s comments serve as a reminder that there are many professionals in the industry who are very disappointed with the current product, and that regard it to be too focused on entertainment as opposed to the wrestling itself.
Whilst Cornette’s comments should be taken into consideration, WWE has recently recruited a wave of new superstars for its NXT show, as well as, potential signings of Eric Young & Bobby Roode. So perhaps Cornette’s comments are somewhat harsh given WWEs’ recent signings and talent hunting.
