Over the past week, The Brooklyn Brawler, Damien Sandow, King Barrett, Hornswoggle, El Torito, Alex Riley, Zeb Colter, Santino Marella and Cameron have been released from their contracts by the WWE.
Many are expecting the company isn't finished with their releases, and more are expected to come over the next couple of weeks. A report by PWInsider via Wrestling Inc may have shed some light over when these next releases are likely to happen.
Their report said: "According to PWInsider, another round of cuts is expected to be announced after the May 22nd Extreme Rules pay-per-view. WWE usually announces releases on Friday, which means they could announce the next set as soon as May 27th unless they decide to wait."

While many fans were sad to see some of their favorite wrestlers leave the company, the only surprise release was that of Sandow. Many thought his ability to get over with the crowd would have given the WWE enough reasons to keep him, but that wasn't the case.
However, reading on through the rest of Wrestling Inc's report, this may not be the end of surprise releases:

"We've also been heard rumors of another surprising WWE release, a women's star and one who would be considered a top Superstar. It was noted that "stays of execution" are always possible for some talents who go through late negotiations but it sounds like officials already know who will be getting cut."
A women's star who would be considered a top superstar could be only a couple of people in the women's section of the WWE roster. It could possibly be Nikki Bella due to her injury situation with her neck. It could be Natalya if you want to follow the rumor that WWE is getting rid of older talent to freshen up the roster. As of this moment, it is unclear who out of the small selection of top women stars on the roster it might be.
The only thing fans will be hoping for is that the WWE doesn't make a decision without giving the said person a real chance to win over the fans. Sandow did win over the fans, especially with his stunt double gimmick with The Miz, yet creative didn't have anything for him and he was seen as expendable.
If they haven't done that with the next superstar(s) they release, fans are going to be very annoyed with the WWE.
