WWE are known to produce intriguing storylines, especially when it is about the prestigious WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
At this point, Roman Reigns and AJ Styles are having a quest to have gold around their waist following Reigns' title win at WrestleMania. It was decided the following night that Styles would be the new number-one contender for the belt after he won a Battle Royal match on Monday night Raw.
The two battled for the title at WWE Payback, and after a couple of rule changes made by Stephanie and Shane McMahon, it was Reigns who prevailed and retained his title.

However, they will go at it once again at the end of the month at WWE Extreme Rules, and here are some major talking points regarding this engaging rivalry.

Roman Reigns showing that he is a fighting champion and is doing his best to keep the WWE title. On the other hand, AJ Styles means business. He is showing that he is a priced fighter and has already made a huge impact on WWE.
Family vs Club
In order to spice things up, WWE has put the flavour of two tag teams in this extreme enmity. The Usos and Bullet Club are at it each time Reigns and Styles lock horns.
First time when the Bullet Club appeared, the WWE universe was on their feet cheering the arrival. The club carries a history of its own that is now an integral part of this business.
Meanwhile, The Usos are out of the tag team title picture and it’s fair to say that they are well suited here at least for the time being.
These two tag teams have been the X-factor in the rivalry thus far. They have brought in double team moves to the story. Moreover, as we approach the pay-per-view Extreme Rules, these two teams are taking the fight to that level where weapons surrounding the ring are a norm.
The Image of Roman Reigns
AJ Styles burst onto the scene with the loudest of cheers at the Royal Rumble earlier this year. However, things in the recent past are far from Reigns’ liking as far as the fans are concerned.
Despite the problem with the fans, this particular rivalry has improved the connection between Reigns and the WWE crowd.
The confrontations between the two major rivals are the best part. People chanting both names in full swing show how excited they are. This is a good sign for Roman Reigns and more importantly the title.
