It's been a disastrous season for Aston Villa, so you can hardly blame their fans for not caring about how their team get on against Arsenal this afternoon.

With their relegation confirmed weeks ago, the Villains travelled to the Emirates with the sole intention of not shipping an embarrassing amount of goals.

They didn't get off to the best of starts, though, when Olivier Giroud headed Arsenal in front after just five minutes.

And as the Frenchman wheeled away in celebration, a strange sound came from the Villa section of the crowd - cheers.

That's right, the visitors' travelling supporters actually celebrated their side conceding. Watch the video below.

Should Arsenal beat Villa as expected, they could rise into second and above Tottenham who, at the time of writing this, are 2-0 down away to Newcastle United.

Quite how the Gunners could manage to finish second is anyone's guess following what has been a disappointing campaign, whilst Spurs have enjoyed arguably their best ever Premier League season.
