Sasha Banks off of TV for 'Storyline purposes'

Published 1 Comments

WrestleMania 32 seems like a long time ago, but it's hardly surprising given exactly how much has happened since then.

The Tag Team division has a whole host on new challengers for the New Day to take on, Triple H hasn't been seen since losing his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and frankly the only thing that is still the same, is the United States Championship.

Not seen since

In the Women's division, Charlotte still reigns as the Champion but has barely seen her WrestleMania opponents Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch since that night in Dallas.

She has been caught up in her feud with Natalya which looks set to come to a head this Sunday at Extreme Rules.

But Charlotte isn't only one who hasn't seen one of her opponents as the whole WWE Universe is wondering where Sasha Banks has disappeared to?

Banks competed on RAW the night after WrestleMania but has barely been seen since leading to some wondering if she is hurt and others asking if she has been dropped down the pecking order in WWE?

The truth seems to be quite the opposite as Dave Meltzer has claimed that she is being kept off of TV for 'longterm storyline purposes'.

Of course no-one knows what these purposes are, but since his revelation that Banks is still working a full-time WWE schedule, the ideas have started circling.

Is it possible that Banks is primed to return to TV after Extreme Rules and take a one-on-one course against Charlotte as we head towards Summer Slam?

Could the Boss be crowned the champion at the Biggest event of the Summer or will we have to wait even longer for her to get the push that many feel she deserves?

Next big thing?

Banks has become one of the more popular women on the roster and while the whole fan base of WWE could be calling for her to be given a chance at the Women's Championship, there may be one woman ahead of her.

It has recently been announced that Paige and Alberto Del Rio have recently started dating which has supposedly caused some out of ring friction between her and the Women's Champion.

Paige could be the next number one contender for the Championship which is hard to argue against given that not too long ago she was the most popular woman on the roster before also leaving our screens for some time.
