Jamie Vardy is at the centre of another Leicester City bet story.

Fan lives up to his Jamie Vardy pledge after making bizarre Leicester City bet

Leicester City’s Premier League title success has surprised pretty much everybody, not least the various bookmakers that had the Foxes at 5000/1 to be crowned Champions.

But while there have been plenty of heart-warming stories about die-hard Leicester fans getting one over on the betting companies, one football fan has been left ruing the day he decided to make arguably the most outlandish Foxes bet yet.

We don’t know for sure if Devan Slater is a Leicester fan or not but what we do know is that he was less than convinced by their prospects of finishing in the top four, let alone winning the league.

The audacious bet

However, rather than put his money where his mouth was, the young gentleman opted for something altogether different.

Confident that the Foxes’ fine early season form would ultimately collapse, Slater quite literally put himself on the line with a truly bizarre and entirely self-inflicted wager.

Writing on Twitter, Slater declared that, if Leicester finished in the top four he would get a tattoo featuring Jamie Vardy’s most famous quote on his posterior.

Evidently thinking the Leicester bubble would burst, we can only imagine the shock and horror he must have felt as the Midlands club closed in on an unlikely Premier League crown.

And as Wes Morgan and Claudio Ranieri lifted the trophy last weekend, he must have been wondering what he had got himself into and whether there was a way out.

A true hero

That said, Slater, to his credit, followed through with his pledge, once again taking to social media to showcase his new Vardy tattoo, complete with WKD bottle, to anyone keen to take him to task over his bold promise.

Devan, you may have lost this particular bet, but you have won our eternal admiration.
