The Cleveland Cavaliers are enjoying the playoffs. They navigated their series' with the Detroit Pistons and Atlanta Hawks with relative ease and remain the only unbeaten team in the postseason after blowing out the Toronto Raptors in game one of their Eastern Conference Finals matchup.
During the regular season there were reports of issues inside the locker room in Cleveland, however, their performance on the hardwood since the playoffs began are enough to convince you otherwise.
The team has been playing some of their best basketball since LeBron James returned from his spell with the Miami Heat and they have been having some fun away from the court as well.
For those of you who follow Richard Jefferson on Snapchat, you'll already know that the Cavaliers players enjoyed a private get together at Kevin Love's house following their season sweep over the Hawks.
The team was joined by their new mascot Lil' Kev who has risen to prominence throughout the postseason. For those of you who don't know who or what Lil' Kev is, it is simply a picture of a Tommy Bahama model who bares a striking resemblance to Love - the image was taken from an in-flight magazine as the Cavs returned from their sweep of Detroit.
Lil' Kev has been making a splash on social media thanks to a combination of Jefferson's Snapchats and his teammates' social media platforms. Cavs players and fans alike are loving their new mascot and it has evidently added to the camaraderie and team spirit that has seen Cleveland become the team we all expected them to be.
Three days ago, an Instagram account was opened by Jefferson under the 'officiallilkev' involving a number of photoshopped images of the Cavaliers' new team member. It's fair to say, the account has been a huge success, racking up over 9,000 likes and already being verified by the social media mobile app with a blue tick.
Here are a few of the best images:
If Cleveland were not a significant threat during the regular season, they certainly are now.
Tyronn Lue's team have come on leaps and bounds from the organisation that finished just one win above the Raptors in the Eastern Conference.
The big three that had suffered many much-publicised issues in the past - Love, LeBron and Kyrie Irving - are all singing off the same hymn sheet and it can only mean good times are ahead for the organisation.
They have looked a step above the rest in the east and the real test will be when they, presumably, face up to the West's best in the Finals. On their current form, and if everyone stays fit, LeBron will be feeling confident of collecting his third ring, and a first with his home state franchise.
