Zlatan Ibrahimovic looks set to be offered a coaching role at Manchester United.
This has been reported by De Telegraaf, who claim that the enigmatic Sweden international is now likely to complete a move to Old Trafford ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
A move to Manchester will see the 34-year-old link up with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who looks set to replace Louis van Gaal in the hot seat sooner rather than later.

Zlatan on his way
The PSG striker, who netted as many as 36 goals in Ligue 1 this term, is still recognised as one of the most prestigious forwards in world football.
According to De Telegraaf, then, not only will he star for the Red Devils up front, he will also take on a coaching role under the guidance of the Portuguese tactician.
With the duo of Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford currently in the ranks at Old Trafford, the presence of Ibrahimovic on the training ground should only help them in their pursuit of long-term success.
Mourinho and Ibrahimovic have the quite the history together, of course, having enjoyed a great deal of success during the 2008/09 season at Inter Milan.
And one man who certainly wants to see Ibrahimovic arrive at the Theatre of Dreams this summer is club legend Peter Schmeichel.
The ex-United shot-stopper has insisted that he would 'love' to see Ibrahimovic join the club, comparing him to Eric Cantona.
Schmeichel wants Zlatan
The Dane told Sky Sports: "I read about Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the newspapers.
“I would love for him to come to Manchester United, I’ve said this for a long time. He was born to play for Manchester United.
“He’s like an Eric Cantona, who can inspire all the guys in the dressing room but also the supporters.
“That’s what it’s all about. It’s not about having a Sunday nap at Old Trafford.”
Social media reaction
As you can imagine, Manchester United fans have duly reacted to the rumours surrounding the future of Ibrahimovic. It's safe to say that they are starting to get excited.
