Bubba had some choice words for the fans after Extreme Rules.

Bubba Ray Dudley defends Roman Reigns against fans who boo him

Published 1 Comments

It is no secret that Roman Reigns is one of the most polarising figures in WWE and the WWE World Heavyweight Champion certainly divides opinion.

Reigns defended his title last night at Extreme Rules against a big fan favourite in AJ Styles and drew some more contempt from the WWE fans.

Standing together

Before Reigns had even entered the arena, the boos had began to ring around the arena ahead of last night's main event.

Reigns and Styles put on a great match to and although everyone was left talking about the surprise appearance of Seth Rollins after the match, one WWE superstar was left with a problem with the fans.

Bubba Ray Dudley took to Twitter to voice his opinion on the fans in attendance at Extreme Rules who began chanting 'You still suck' towards Reigns.

Reigns was the victim of several chants like that as the night went on and Dudley was left unhappy with the WWE Universe.

Dudley was clearly unhappy with the fan reaction to Reigns and felt it was his duty to defend his fellow WWE superstar.

Reigns has been in the main event picture for some time now but the fans have never really gravitated to him like the creative team would have hoped.

He won the 2015 Royal Rumble but was booed out of the building and he won the title over a year later at WrestleMania 32 only for reports to claim that the WWE altered the audio to minimise the sounds of boos at AT&T Stadium.

Many feel it best to turn Reigns heel, however with his now seemingly imminent feud with Seth Rollins about to begin, will he take his role as the biggest heel on the roster?

The New Era

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Rollins returned at the end of Extreme Rules after several months out with a serious knee injury.

Rollins is expected to make his long awaited return to Monday Night RAW tonight and could be about to start a feud with his former Shield Brother.

Reigns and Rollins haven't had the one-on-one feud that many expected following the collapse of the Shield due to various reasons, but could they now be set to lead all the way to Summer Slam?
