Roman Reigns has not been popular with a big section of WWE fans ever since it became obviously clear that Vince McMahon and co saw him as the next big star of the company.
The former Shield star was given a ridiculously big push that saw him win the 2015 Royal Rumble, while also becoming a three-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, with all of those wins coming since November 2015.
After working a Championship feud and several matches with Reigns, AJ Styles has now come to the defense of 'The Big Dog', revealing in an interview that he believes Roman is much better than anyone gives him credit for.

Styles spoke recently with Rolling Stone and said he truly believed that the heat Reigns gets from fans is a bit undeserved.
"I think [Reigns] is a better athlete than a lot of people realize. He should get a lot more credit for his athleticism," Styles said of the WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
"He's unbelievable, he can do a lot of stuff. I think he's been able to showcase that with me. We're doing something right – I don't think people gave Roman a chance."
The former TNA and New Japan Pro Wrestling Champion has a theory about why Reigns gets booed so loudly by the live WWE audiences.
That theory? Fans booing Reigns were just hopping on the anti-Roman Reigns bandwagon.
"In fact, I think a lot of fans jumped on the bandwagon when someone started booing, instead of taking the chance to see what he could do in the ring," Styles said of Reigns' heat with the crowds.
Whatever Styles says, the fact of the matter is that Reigns has been shoved down the throats of fans for so long and at no point have the WWE done anything to even suggest that he isn't John Cena 2.0.
Reigns hasn't lost clean since he was a part of The Shield. Nobody else on the roster has gone anywhere close to that length of time without being pinned clean, 1-2-3. Even John Cena lost the United States Championship to Alberto Del Rio clean.
The only person who comes near to that is Brock Lesnar, a legitimate badass who was once the UFC Heavyweight Champion. People suspend disbelief for Lesnar winning matches because he can literally knock out anyone on the roster. The same doesn't go for Reigns, who has been built up to that level without ever justifying it.
