Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that there are two ways to look at his new club.
The former Chelsea boss, who was today named as the Red Devils' next manager, has suggested that you can look at the club over the last three years or focus on their history.
It has been well documented that United have endured a tricky three years since legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson retired from the game.

Under Scot David Moyes, United finished in seventh place in the division, while they struggled to make an impact in the Premier League over the course of the past two years under Dutchman Louis van Gaal.
United ended their trophy drought by securing FA Cup silverware last weekend, but it's safe to say that Mourinho will be hoping to lead United into a new era of success.
Jose first interview
The revered coach has also insisted that he's ready for the Manchester United job and has insisted that he wants to 'win'.
Speaking to MUTV, Mourinho stated: "I feel great. I think it comes in the right moment of my career because Man United is one of these clubs where you need really to be prepared for it because it is what I call a giant club. And giant clubs must be for the best managers and I think I am ready for it, so I could say I am happy, I am proud, I am honoured.
"I think we can look at our club now in two perspectives. One perspective is the last three years and another perspective is the club history. I think I prefer to forget the past three years, I prefer to focus on the giant club I have in my hands now and I think what the fans are expecting me to say is that I want to win. I think the players need to listen - I want to win."

There will clearly be a focus on transfers; which players should Mourinho sign and which players should he move on?
The dynamic at Old Trafford has already changed and the club's faithful are clearly getting excited. United could once again be a force next season.
