Ronaldo had a poor match.

Cristiano Ronaldo slated for his Champions League final performance

Published 5 Comments

Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid’s Champions League final will go into extra-time after they drew 1-1 in 90 minutes.

Real weren’t helped by the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo was anonymous during the entire 90 minutes, rarely getting involved in the match.

Sergio Ramos’ 15th minute goal looked to be enough to see off their city rivals. However, the Spanish defender did appear to be in an offside position from Gareth Bale’s flick on.

Atleti were given the perfect opportunity to get themselves back on level terms just three minutes after half-time but Antoine Griezmann smashed his effort against the crossbar.

Ronaldo had the chance to kill off the match when Bale teed him up. However, instead of applying the finish, he attempted a cheeky step-over before his shot was saved by Jan Oblak.

Just minutes later, Diego Simone’s men got their deserved equaliser when Yannick Carrasco struck home with just 10 minutes remaining.

However, Ronaldo is one of the best players in the world for a reason so don't put it past him to be the hero in extra-time.
