Victory parades are meant to be celebrations. However it seems that in Spain at least, they're quickly becoming a platform for Real Madrid and Barcelona players to take shots at one another.
The chief antagoniser tends to be Barcelona defender Gerard Pique, who took a shot at Cristiano Ronaldo during his side's La Liga title celebration recently - but now the former Manchester United man has been forced to take a dose of his own medicine.
The gist of the back and forth is this: Pique 'thanked' Kevin Roldan for helping to inspire Barca's title win last season - in reference to the Colombian rapper's appearance at Ronaldo's birthday party, just hours after Real had been thrashed by rivals Atletico Madrid 4-0.
"Kevin Roldán, it all started with you!“ Pique told fans.
Now Arbeloa has shot back (sort of anyway), using Real Madrid's Champions League parade as the platform to settle the score.
After beating Atletico in Milan, Arbeloa addressed Real's fans with the message: "I don’t know who this started with, but I know who it is thanks to. It’s thanks to you!” in reference to Pique's Roldan dig.
Hilarious. Anyway, you can check out the video of the moment below:
While there was plenty of cause for celebration at Madrid over the past few days, there was some bad news about defender Dani Carvajal. The Spaniard has been ruled out of Euro 2016 after picking up an injury in the final at the San Siro having left the pitch in tears.
