Ever since it was revealed that Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather have been in talks about a potential fight, the entire fight world - from fans to fellow fighters and reporters - have been talking about it.

The UFC megastar and best trash talker in all of sport today vs the undefeated boxing legend. Who wouldn't want to see that take place in a ring?

Well, with speculation and rumours about the potential fight reaching a fever pitch, Mayweather is only adding more fuel to the fire with his latest post on his personal Instagram account.

Floyd took to his Instagram to post a mock-up of what a poster for the big fight would look like, with him and McGregor standing next to each other.

If this is a mock-up made by a fan and nothing else, it clearly has the approval of 'Money Mayweather' himself.

While a fight between the two does seem to be rather impossible for a whole bunch of reasons, such as McGregor's complete lack of boxing skill and his near-impenetrable contract with the UFC, that hasn't stopped the two stars from talking about the event like it is absolutely going to happen.

The two fighters have also told people around them that the bout will take place. Speaking in a recent interview, top boxing coach Freddie Roach said just as much.

"He has not called me yet but Mayweather did come by my gym last week and he asked me to take that job if it's offered to me," Roach said, while discussing the fact he was asked to train McGregor.

"He told me the fight is going to happen and we're going to make a lot of money."

This can be combined with a report from last week from a Fox Sports presenter that he was told to book a hotel and flights for September of this year for the fight.

If the fight between the two respective superstars does go ahead, it will almost certainly break every single pay-per-view record standing. Will it be a good fight and worthy of the hype? Well that's another question entirely.
