Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Palermo attacking midfielder Franco Vázquez, according to Italian news paper Tuttosport.
It's believed that new Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho, who joined the Red Devils after the club sacked former manager Louis van Gaal, is keen on bringing the creative attacker to the Old Trafford.
However, since the former Real Madrid officially took over at United, it's become unclear whether or not the 27-year-old remains a transfer target.

According to reports, the London based club, who are also gearing up for the Champions League after a break of four years, is looking to strengthen their squad for the next season and will bid for the former Belgrano player.
It is believed that Palermo's asking price for the Italy international is £22 million.
The midfielder joined his current club in 2012, and has so far made 105 league appearances for Aquile, where he scored 22 goals.
In the last season, the 6ft 1" midfielder played 36 league games for his club, where he scored eight goals and provided seven assists, finishing as the leading assist provider and second highest goalscorer for the club.
Due to incredible performances for his club, Italy boss Antonio Conte included him in the national team, where he made his debut in a Euro qualifier against Bulgaria back in March of last year.
His inclusion in the national squad brought criticism from various sectors, most famously from Inter Milan and former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who criticized Conte for including players who were not born in Italy, and emphasized that only Italian players should be allowed to represent Gli Azzurri.
