UFC 199 broke the news that Don Frye will be inducted to the Pioneer division of the UFC 2016 Hall of Fame.
The Hall of Fame event will take place on July 10 in Las Vagas at the Convention Center. The Hall of Fame ceremony itself will be closing out the 5th UFC International Fight Week and will be aired live.
Frye is an accomplished fighter who gained a 10-1 record in 1996 appearing at UFC 8: David vs. Goliath for his first bout. He defeated three men in order to win a tournament. He also competed at UFC 9: Motor City Madness, UFC 10: The Tournament and UFC: The Ultimate Ultimate 1996.

Dana White was on hand to comment on Don Frye's career and upcoming induction into the UFC Hall of Fame, class of 2016.
"Don Frye is a legend in this sport and one of the toughest guys to ever compete., White said in a statement, via MMA Junkie.
"He was known for putting on incredible fights like his one with Takayama in PRIDE, which is still to this day one of the craziest fights I've ever seen. Congratulations to Don Frye for being selected to the 2016 Class of the UFC Hall of Fame!"
Dana White is a known fan of Don Frye having very positive comments to say about him when Don Frye's induction was announced. Dana has also extended his congratulations to Don who recently tweeted that he will be returning to the UFC expo this year.
Frye also set many records during his time in UFC such as becoming the first athlete to defeat five consecutive opponents by knockout. He also became the first to defeat three opponents in less than one minute and the first fighter to get both a knockout and a submission in less than a minute.
More inductees are expected to be announced for the Ultimate Fighting Championship 2016 Hall of Fame class over the next coming weeks leading up to the July 9, UFC 200 event in Las Vegas.
