Search on the internet for the phrase ‘domino effect’ and it will say: “A cumulative effect produced when one event sets off a chain of similar events.”
Unfortunately, that’s exactly what appears to be happening at Premier League champions Leicester this summer.
After the Foxes pulled off the incredible 5000/1 feat and won the title, many people instantly wondered if they would be able to keep hold of their star players - N’Golo Kante, Riyad Mahrez and Jamie Vardy in particular.

However, both Mahrez and Kante appeared to pledge their short-term future to the Foxes immediately after Premier League glory.
Last month, when Mahrez was asked if he was staying at the King Power Stadium next season, he replied: “Yeah.
“I am very happy, I was very proud to have this trophy - some things are amazing.”
While his teammate, Kante, also hinted at his stay: "The Champions League next season will be new for me but I hear good things.
"We don't know if we can surprise in Europe, we have just joined at this moment, we will see. We have just done it for this season.
"When I came here I can't imagine this, winning the title. Now we did it. It has been a good moment, we have to enjoy it."
However, after Arsenal look set to sign Jamie Vardy it could have a disastrous knock-on effect for Claudio Ranieri’s side.
The Gunners have triggered Vardy’s £22 million release clause and it appears the striker will be leaving the champions.
Just days after the news of Arsenal being keen to sign Vardy, there were reports of the north London club also being interested in Mahrez.
The Algerian scored 17 goals and registered 11 assists last season but is earning just £35,000-per-week at Leicester.
And now, Goal.com have reported that Mahrez is keen to leave the club this summer. The report states that the winger wants to move in the coming months despite the club being keen to offer him a new and improved contract.
It will certainly offer Arsenal a massive boost who could complete a sensational double swoop in signing both Vardy and Mahrez.
But, after Arsenal have already announced the signing of centre-midfielder Granit Xhaka, it’s unlikely they will attempt to sign Kante.
Instead, the Frenchman has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea and the midfielder has confirmed that his future will be decided after the European Championships.
