It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks at Manchester United and that only looks set to continue in the coming months.
Jose Mourinho’s arrival has seen a whole host of world-class talent being linked with a move to Old Trafford, while there is likely to be plenty of departures as well.
United have already moved quickly to capture Villarreal defender Eric Bailly in a £30 million deal but it’s highly unlikely that the Ivorian will be the only player through the door at the Theatre of Dreams this summer.

In fact, there will be another three players arriving at the club this transfer window. That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim Mourinho has drawn up a three-man wishlist following the signing of Bailly.
On that list is: Nemanja Matic, Andre Gomes and, of course, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Matic has been heavily linked with a sensational reunion with Mourinho after the pair worked together at Chelsea. Earlier this week, The Sun reported that Matic has told the Blues that he want to join The Special One in Manchester next season.
And it’s obvious that Mourinho is keen to strengthen the midfield this summer with Gomes also being on his shortlist.
Bastian Schweinsteiger, Marouane Fellaini, Michael Carrick and Morgan Schneiderin all had underwhelming campaigns in the centre of midfield this past season and Gomes can add quality in that role.
The 22-year-old has impressed for Valencia in the previous two seasons and was recently quoted calling Mourinho “a great coach” amid interest from his countryman.
Last, but certainly not least, is Zlatan. The Swede is widely expected to complete his move to United when his contract expires at Paris Saint-Germain in July.
The signings of Bailly, Matic, Gomes and Ibrahimovic would certainly strengthen the side with the defence, midfield and attack all being added to.
Of course, don't be surprised if Mourinho signs more than just the aforementioned four players. While these stars are his priority, there may be the opportunity to capture a couple more if the opportunity arises.
One player that doesn’t feature on Mourinho’s wishlist is Paul Pogba. The Juventus star has been linked with a return to Manchester but Real Madrid are also keen and it appears Mourinho will miss out on bringing the Frenchman back to the Premier League.
Mourinho is well aware he needs to make these quality signings in an attempt to get Manchester United back to the top of English football. The club suffered two insipid seasons under Louis van Gaal, finishing fifth this term and therefore missing out on Champions League qualification.
