Last week, it was revealed that WWE superstar Brock Lesnar would be making a shock return to the UFC.
The former UFC Heavyweight Champion, who signed a long-term deal with the WWE last year when he was a free agent, has apparently invoked a clause in that contract that lets him make a comeback to the octagon.
While this will be a huge event for fight fans all over the world, it seems that there are some people who aren't too overjoyed about it. Speaking in an interview with Jonathan Coachman on ESPN's "Off the Top Rope", WWE star Dean Ambrose had some words for Lesnar.
It's hard to tell if Ambrose is completely in character here, but what he says could very well be some true feelings coming to the surface.
"Brock Lesnar likes to get his rest time, you know what I'm saying?" The Lunatic Fringe started off as saying, via Cageside Seats.
He then went into a bit of a rant about Lesnar, seemingly complaining about the amount of time the beast gets off, thanks to his deal with the WWE.
"A guy like me, I'm out here doing this every night while Brock Lesnar is sitting in some, you know, log cabin in Minnesota or whatever drinking hot cocoa and chilling out and eating giant slabs of deer meat he killed with his bare hands and all that stuff - so he's got a lot of rest and recuperation time in-between fights."
Ambrose is one of the hardest workers in the WWE right now, grinding away day after day at house shows putting his body on the line to entertain hundreds of people in matches that will never be televised anywhere, in matches that are inconsequential.
Compare that to Lesnar, who works less than ten matches a year and gets written off television for months at a time to chill out at home, but then comes back when needed and is immediately in the main event.
You can see why some WWE superstars aren't too happy with that. They have to bust a gut 365 days a year, only for Lesnar to come in and take the big matches.
