Baseball has a tradition where famous celebrities, sportsmen or worthy individuals throw out a ceremonial "first pitch" before the start of a game.

Some of these have been great - including a South Korean gymnast whose pitch was absolutely incredible - and some not so good ones, including 50 Cent missing the catcher by about 20 yards.

The rapper was absolutely slated on social media and his opening pitch still gets brought up from time to time as the butt of jokes. Well, now Fiddy has some competition for worst pitch ever, from Snoop Dogg.

The west coast legend was at a San Diego Padres game last night and was given the honour of throwing out the first pitch. Looking back on how it went, we are sure that Snoop wishes he had turned down the offer.

The 'Drop It Like It's Hot' singer put some heat on his throw, like many guys tend to do, but he really should've been focusing on his accuracy more than the velocity.

The pitch went wide, wide right - nearly taking out a cameraman and two spectators who were sat in their seats behind home plate.

You can take a look at the errant lob here, via the Fox Sports San Diego Twitter account.

While it is incredibly bad, it's still not as bad as 50 Cent's. You can take a look at that one - along with some other awful celebrity pitches - in this video below.

There might be a very good reason for how errant Snoop's pitch was - and how happy he was despite it. Cough, cough.
