After signing Eric Bailly from Villarreal for £30 million earlier this week, Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United reign has officially begun.
The Portuguese has taken no time at all to make his mark at Old Trafford by bringing in a much-needed centre-back.
A number of European stars could soon follow suit amidst rumours linking United with the talented likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, John Stones and James Rodriguez.

However, what fans are equally as interested in is those that Mourinho plans to dispose of this summer, with 13 players reportedly at threat of facing the chop.
Well, it would appear the 53-year-old has begun his United exodus by releasing two outcasts: Nick Powell and Victor Valdes.

This is according to Manchester Evening News, who claim the pair are now free agents after Mourinho decided against renewing either of their expiring contracts.
Their departures were to be expected, though.
Since signing from Crewe in 2012 for £6 million, Powell has failed to impress and seen injuries hinder his progress.
His last start for United came during a 4-0 defeat to MK Dons in 2014.
Valdes, on the other hand, arrived to much fanfare in January 2015 but was unable to dislodge countryman David de Gea as No.1 at Old Trafford. He made just two Premier League appearances as a result and become embroiled in controversy.
A loan move to Standard Leige last season was but a short-term solution and proved to be the final nail in the coffin.
Plenty more departures are now expected amidst United’s dire need for a squad revamp.
As mentioned, 13 players were reportedly being lined up for sales by Mourinho: Juan Mata, Ander Herrera, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Michael Carrick, Marouane Fellaini, Ashley Young, Guillermo Varela, Matteo Darmian, Memphis Depay, Luke Shaw, Sergio Romero, Marcus Rojo and Antonio Valencia.
However, Carrick has since signed a one-year extension, whilst Young appears to be in Mourinho’s plans going forward.
One player whose United future is all but over is Darmian who, according to the Independent, will be used as a makeweight to sign Paul Pogba from Juventus.
A £78 million deal could be in the offing after Juve rejected a £60 million bid from United and enquired into Darmian’s availability.
They face competition in the race to sign their former midfielder, though, with Real Madrid interested and recently submitting a €120 million bid.
