Some Manchester United fans will be hoping Marouane Fellaini has played his final game for the Red Devils following the recent appointment of Jose Mourinho.
The Belgian midfielder has failed to win the hearts of most supporters at Old Trafford and, on the face of it, doesn’t appear to be the type of player Mourinho would want in his squad.
However, ahead of Belgium’s Euro 2016 opener against Italy on Monday, Fellaini has revealed that he’s received a text message from his new manager which suggests he may have a future with the Premier League giants after all.

“As far as my future is concerned, I'm under contract with Manchester United. In addition, a great manager, Jose Mourinho, is arriving,” Fellaini was quoted as telling reporters by the Daily Mail. “He likes to win titles and I would be honoured and proud to work with him. Now it's up to me to show he can trust me.
“Mourinho contacted me by text to say welcome to United and to wish me a good Euro.”
Mourinho has also text Paddy McNair...
However, perhaps it’s important not to read too much into Mourinho’s text message to the former Everton star.
Louis van Gaal’s successor sent a similar message to Fellaini’s teammate Paddy McNair.
“Of course, I'm sure he'll be watching,” the defender commented. “I’ll be trying my best and I hope he likes what he sees.
“He sent me a text message wishing me good luck for the tournament so that was nice of him.”
