In an interesting turn of events in continental club football, European giants Paris Saint-Germain are showing interest in signing AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca, according to Italian newspaper La Gazzetta dello.
The French giants are looking to bolster their attack after the departure of veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who left the club after spending four season at Parc des Princes, where he scored 113 goals in just 122 league appearances.
Therefore, the Paris based club are showing interest in AC Milan’s Bacca, who demonstrated his sublime finishing with the Italian giants in the 2015-16 Serie A campaign, where he netted 18 league goals in 38 appearances for I Rossoneri.

However, even with such stunning performances in his first season at San Siro, the 29-year-old will not be playing in any European competition next season, which raises doubts about the future of the Colombian international.
According to the same report, the French giants are on the verge of replacing current manager Laurant Blanc with the former Sevilla manager Unai Emery, who has left the club this summer and is expected to be replaced by Jorge Sampaoli.
If the reports do come true, it will mean that Bacca will reunite with his former manager Emery, with whom he spent three successful seasons at Sevilla, where he scored 34 goals in 72 league appearances for the club.
It is widely believed that the decision to sack Blanc, who won three consecutive domestic trebles in his three years in charge at the club, will be taken largely down to the club’s poor performance in the Champions League, where Les Parisiens could not manage to get past quarter-final stage even once during his three-year tenure.
On the other hand, the 44-year-old Emery has an impressive resume in European football, where he guided a below-par Sevilla side, with a limited budget, to three consecutive Europa League titles, which is the second tier European club football competition.
