Cristiano Ronaldo has had at European Championships to forget so far.
He was frustrated in Portugal’s opening fixture against Iceland after squandering many chances and saw his side draw 1-1 to the minnows.
The anger was plain to see after his controversial comments blasting Iceland’s “small mentality” and claiming they “celebrated like they had won the European Championships.”

It didn’t get much better for the Real Madrid superstar in Portugal’s second match against Austria, though - a match that they drew 0-0.
Chances came and went for the three-time Ballon d’Or winner and his frustrations grew and grew.
When he dragged a penalty onto the post with just 10 minutes remaining, Ronaldo had reached boiling point. If he made controversial comments after the Iceland match, what on earth was he going to do after this Austria stalemate?
Well, actually, he did a fantastic gesture.
After a little kid ran onto the pitch, pursued by stewards, Ronaldo put his arm around the boy and told the stewards to leave him alone.
The 31-year-old then posed for a selfie with the lucky fan.
It was a magnificent act from Ronaldo after a second frustrating match in a week.
Especially after the former Manchester United man had hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons this week, this was exactly the sort of behaviour he needed to portray.
It’s just another reminder that there is a humble side to Ronaldo and, not only is he a fantastic footballer, he is always a fantastic person.
