Henrikh Mkhitaryan, by all accounts, has his heart set on joining Manchester United this summer.
The Borussia Dortmund playmaker is also wanted by Jose Mourinho and there is “increasing confidence”, according to the Mirror, that the transfer will go through.
However, Dortmund are keen to keep the Armenia international at Signal Iduna Park for at least one more season, much to the frustration of Mkhitaryan and his colourful agent Mino Raiola.

Raiola, who also represents United target Zlatan Ibrahimovic, is understood to have become angry during recent talks with Dortmund.
So angry, in fact, that he reportedly tossed a chair across the room after failing to get his own way.

Raiola: We will not give up
This is according to German newspaper Bild - and relayed by the Mirror - who have been told by Raiola that he is happy to fight to help secure his client a dream move to Old Trafford.
"Henrikh is not the type to have conflicts, he leaves that to me,” Raiola stated. “We will not give up."
He had told Bild earlier in the week: "We have both taken very different views and fight for them like lions.
“Even though it does not look like it right now, I still hope for a sensible solution.
"Such an offer to join Manchester United might only come once in a lifetime for a player and nobody can guarantee us that the door will still be open for Micki next season. Manchester are Micki’s dream club, he wants to join them by any means."
Mkhitaryan could replace Mata
It’s clear that BVB will not be bullied into selling their star playmaker, who scored an impressive 23 goals and provided 32 assists in all competitions last season.
But with Mkhitaryan, Raiola, Mourinho and Manchester United all keen for the deal to happen, it appears increasingly likely that the BVB star will be a Red Devil in time for the 2016-17 campaign.
Mkhitaryan, who joined Dortmund in 2013 from Shakhtar Donetsk, is a versatile attack-minded player capable of playing on either flank or through the middle, in the number 10 position.
Thomas Tuchel often used him in a wide-right attacking role, the position Juan Mata often featured for Manchester United this season.
Mata is expected to be sold by Mourinho this summer - the Portuguese tactician has not changed his opinion on the Spanish playmaker since selling him while managing Chelsea in 2014 - and Mkhitaryan could well be the man who replaces him.
