Everyone was pretty surprised after Cristiano Ronaldo’s controversial comments following Portugal’s 1-1 draw with Iceland in their Euro 2016 group fixture.
Ronaldo and his teammates failed to beat a nation that boasts a population of just 330,000 in their Group F opener, with Iceland holding on for one of the finest results in their footballing history.
But instead of praising them, Ronaldo lashed out after the final whistle.

The Real Madrid superstar blasted Iceland for their “small mentality” and accused them of “celebrating like they had won the European Championships.”
However, after Portugal draw 0-0 with Austria and 3-3 with Hungary, while Iceland drew 1-1 with Hungary and beat Austria 2-1, Ronaldo was left eating his words as the Icelanders finished in second above the Portuguese.

And there is one man who is very glad to see his country finish above Ronaldo and co.
That man is Magnus ver Magnusson.
Who? Some of you may be saying.
The World’s Strongest Man from 1991 to 1996, obviously.
The Icelandic celebrity has blasted Ronaldo in a rant but is clearly loving the fairytale of Iceland in the last-16 of Euro 2016.
“Cristiano Ronaldo acted like a p***y. When he said Iceland was never going to win anything I bet he never expected us to finish above them in the group,” he told Press Association, per BT Sport.
“Football is as much about the team as the individual as Leicester City have already proved this season. I suspect even Ronaldo regrets making those comments in the heat of the moment.
“Iceland is going crazy at the moment. The whole nation is behind the boys and everything seems to be coming together. England will be the favourites to win but we have shown already there is no reason we have anything to fear.”
But Mr. Magnusson didn’t stop at calling Ronaldo a p***y. He uploaded a Facebook post of the final Group F table with a little message to the 31-year-old.
It said: "Dear Mr Cristiano Ronaldo. When you said Iceland will never win anything I bet you weren't expecting this as the final results of the qualifying group. Have a good look you self-centered egotistical w***er.”
Magnusson vs. Ronaldo - now that’s a fight we’d love to see.
