Ivan Perisic trolled after pictures emerge of new Croatia-themed hairstyle

Ivan Perisic won’t be hard to notice when Croatia take on Portugal this evening.

That’s because the Inter Milan winger has unveiled a new haircut that is, quite frankly, ridiculous.

It’s worse than Marouane Fellaini’s blond do and wackier than anything Paul Pogba has ever come up with.

Clearly, he knows that the world will be watching when Croatia take on Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and he wants to be noticed.

Although his performances for his national team so far have done enough to put Perisic in the spotlight. He’s enjoyed a fine tournament and scored the winner in the 2-1 victory over Spain that saw Ante Cacic’s team top Group D.

Twitter, of course, reacted with much amusement.

Dark horse

Speaking after his man of the match performance against Spain, Perisic admitted that Croatia are intent on living up to their tag as the tournament’s dark horse.

"I have to congratulate all my team-mates and our supporters we did a really good job in the group stage but this is just the beginning,” the 27-year-old said, per FourFourTwo.

"If we lose the next match it will mean we didn't do anything important so we have to just focus on the next match and stay level and fight again like we did in the first three matches.

"This is the only way we can go far and to achieve a better result than Croatia in 1998 [third-place finish at World Cup]."
