Adnan Januzaj must realise his potential at Manchester United this season if Jose Mourinho allows him to stay at Old Trafford.
The Belgian international, who struggled to make an impression under Louis van Gaal, is facing an uncertain summer after two miserable seasons on the trot.
If Mourinho was to give him another chance to shine, then Januzaj must reward the Portuguese by finding the form that made him one of the most promising youngsters in world football less than three years ago.

As David Moyes desperately clung onto his job, one of the sole positives of his terrible 10-month tenure was the form of Januzaj, whose performances prompted comparisons with club legends Ryan Giggs and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Having been included in the squad for Sir Alex Ferguson’s final ever game as United manager against West Bromwich Albion, Moyes then integrated the teenager into his team instead of £18 million newcomer Wilfried Zaha.

Januzaj finished the season with four goals and countless assists to his name, but the appointment of Van Gaal had a devastating effect on his career with the Belgian’s future now up in the air.
Having impressed under Moyes, and given Van Gaal’s reputation for giving youth a chance, many expected Januzaj to continue his development into one of the best wingers in the world when the Dutchman took charge in 2014.
However, the 21-year-old, who was also given Giggs’ old number 11 shirt, struggled for form and finished the season with zero goals from his 21 appearances.
Janzuaj then was loaned to Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund at the start of last season, something that caused confusion particularly with Angel di Maria also departing for PSG, but he returned in January with his attitude having been criticised by manager Thomas Tuchel.
The Belgian scored just once – a winner against Aston Villa mere days before his move to Dortmund – yet was stuck mostly in the reserves with Van Gaal seemingly unwilling to bring him back into the first-team setup.
If Mourinho lets Januzaj remain at Old Trafford, then the Belgian winger must knuckle down and impress his new boss.
He has all the talent to become one of the world’s best, but his attitude must be spot on if he is to ever realise his full potential.
Failure to do so could see him become the latest starlet to spurn their chance at the top.
