The career trajectory of former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel is very much on a downward slope.
Manziel was released by the Browns earlier this year following two troubled years with a troubled franchise and he hasn't been picked up by a new team since.
A new stage of life
Manziel has however been picked up by the paparazzi, his own downfalls and more importantly, the law!
Manziel is currently facing charges of domestic abuse and with his NFL career all but over, his future could be set to make a move for the worse.
With his life seemingly reaching a negative stage, you would assume that Manziel could reach out to his close family and friends in the hope that they would offer support and comfort.
That certainly may not be the case with his father who has been talking about his son's court case and current state.
"It's not a secret that he's a druggie. I don't know what to say other than my son is a druggie and he needs help. He just hasn't seeked it yet. Hopefully he doesn't die before he comes to his senses." Manziel's father on his son's current situation
Probably not what you would want to hea from your father while you are busy fighting what could prove to be the biggest decision of his life.
Well not only has his father claimed that his son is a'druggie', but he also thinks that he needs to go to jail.
"I hate to say it but I hope he goes to jail. I mean, that would be the best place for him. So we'll see."
Some harsh words from Manziel Sr but arguably ones that speaks some truth about the former Browns star.
A bleak situation?
While Manziel is finding himself in a fairly bleak situation, his former team are finding themselves facing a similar dilemma.
The Browns are preparing for a season where former Offensive Rookie of the Year Robert Grffin III could be their starting quarterback.
RGIII has been less than spectacular since his rookie year but Cleveland have problems all over the field, and with a very strong AFC North this year, the Browns may struggle to really achieve in 2016.
