The Summer Season in WWE means only one thing and that's SummerSlam. The Biggest Party of The Summer is live on the WWE Network on August 21st and it seems that WWE could be setting up two epic returns that very night.

It has been revealed that Randy Orton will finally return to action following shoulder surgery at a WWE Live event in Hidalgo Texas on August 13th, merely days before the final Monday Night Raw before SummerSlam.

Brock Lesnar is also on hiatus from WWE currently due to the fact that he is fighting at UFC 200 next month. Brock will face Mark Hunt on July 9th at the special one off event before it has been made apparent that The Beast Incarnate will be returning to WWE in time for SummerSlam.

DREAM MATCH?

Lesnar and Orton could return to WWE on the same night and set up a match that has been more than a decade in the making. Despite the fact that both superstars have been part of WWE since 2002 (Lesnar left for eight years in 2004) these two stars have only faced each other once and never on the pay-per-view stage.

Lesnar and Orton have many things in common, they are both thought of as sure fire future Hall of Famers, they are both former holders of the current WWE World Heavyweight Championship and were both the youngest ever world champion at one point but it will always be Orton that retains the record.

Orton won the Championship from Chris Benoit at SummerSlam in 2004 to become the youngest ever World Champion at 24 years old, but Brock Lesnar had held the record for two years prior to Orton's win after he defeated The Rock at SummerSlam in 2002 to become the youngest champion at 25 years old.

BATTLE OF THE BEST?

Randy Orton and Brock Lesnar are thought of as the same kind of superstar but from different generations. Brock was always overlooked because of The Rock, a man whom he feuded with many times whilst Orton was always overlooked because of John Cena even though those two had a continuous rivalry for many years.

Both men are considered to be fantastic wrestlers and it is an absolute travesty that they have only wrestled each other once before, during Orton's early days in WWE back in 2002. A lot has changed since then and Brock has never had the chance to face The Viper.

This is a match that could main event any pay-per-view, it would be a top draw match between two pure WWE athletes. Orton may be one of the only men who could take the fight to Brock and whether or not Brock wins at UFC 200, it will be interesting to see what kind of shape he is in for this match.
