Arsenal fans excited about midfield trio as Xhaka tweets Ramsey

After Wales secured one of the most remarkable victories in their history on Friday night, Switzerland midfielder Granit Xhaka took to Twitter to congratulate Aaron Ramsey. 

Xhaka and co. were cruelly dumped out of the European Championships at the Round of 16 stage after they lost on penalties to Poland. 

In fact, Arsenal's new signing was the only player to miss from the penalty spot last Saturday. Despite being out of the competition, it's safe to say that he still has an interest in the tournament.

And he was clearly watching on as Ramsey produced a fine display to help Wales secure their place in the last four of the prestigious tournament. Ramsey will miss the semi-final after picking up a yellow card, but he put in an admirable performance against Belgium nonetheless. 

Following Xhaka's tweet to Ramsey, a number of Arsenal fans reacted in style and it's quite clear what they think about the duo partnering each other in midfield next season.

Indeed, along with German playmaker Mesut Ozil, Arsenal fans think the club have a balanced dynamic in midfield. The club's faithful are very excited at the prospect of Xhaka, Ramsey and Ozil playing with each other next season. 

After failing to secure the Premier League title last season, Arsene Wenger and co. could be about to finally stamp their mark on the race.
