With the WWE's latest brand split fast approaching, the company has apparently been running around trying to sign former superstars to help boost the ranks.
As the current roster will be split in two, the WWE will be struggling with a lack of star power, with serious doubts emerging about their potential to carry two separate shows and make them both interesting for viewers.
Well, several big names have been linked with making exciting comebacks, but unfortunately for WWE fans, several are them completely false.

According to a recent report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, via Wrestling Inc, the WWE have absolutely zero interest in bringing back three stars of yesteryear who have been rumoured recently.
Those names? Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio and Jeff Hardy.
Despite reports that Angle had been in talks with the WWE, as well as the comments from the man himself saying that he would be returning next year for one last match or run in the company, the WWE just don't want him.
Apparently, with the recent bad PR around with the WWE in the form of Adam Rose, Jerry Lawler and Roman Reigns, the WWE are hesitant to offer a deal to anyone with a dodgy past - ruling out Angle. This is the same reason why 'Moose' from Ring of Honor isn't being offered a contract just yet, despite being one of the best free agents around.
"Regarding rumors of who has been contacted, The Observer confirms that no contact was made with Jeff Hardy or Rey Mysterio," Wrestling Inc added.
One former WWE star who has apparently been offered a deal is Tajiri, who is currently at the Performance Center as part of the Cruiserweight Classic. We'll have to wait and see if that rumour becomes fact.
