Last night on Raw it was finally revealed that Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy were the only superstars in the locker room who would come to John Cena's rescue as he was once again triple teamed by The Club.
These three-on-one assaults have become a weekly thing as of late and many fans thought that John Cena would eventually be saved by a returning superstar or a big NXT debutante whereas WWE have once again gone against the grain and brought out Enzo and Big Cass.
There were many stars that had hinted on social media that they could be the ones to help Cena fight off The Club but now the match has been made official for Battleground, it seems the former NXT stars will be the ones helping Cena even the odds, but was this a mistake?

DID WWE GET THIS ONE WRONG?
Enzo and Cass have come a long way in the last few years and right now could be considered to be one of the most over teams on the main roster. Was pairing them with John Cena a mistake? One good thing to come out of this would be that finally Enzo and Cass are out of what was an endless feud with The Dudley Boys, but what really can they bring to this feud for Cena?
American Alpha were one of the names that were mentioned as ready for a call up after the latest batch of NXT tapings and many thought that they would be the perfect team to help Cena fight off the threat of The Club, but instead the WWE Universe still await their debut.
Cryme Tyme have also hinted numerous times on Social Media that if John Cena is out numbered then they would definitely be there to help even the odds, but it seems WWE failed to take JTG and Shad up on their offer.

After they failed to capture the Tag Team Championships from The New Day at Money in the Bank, it isn't surprising that Enzo and Cass needed something to move onto and this could be the perfect filler for them whilst they wait to be added to the next title match.
It is currently unknown as to whether or not WWE will be splitting the Tag Team Championships once again ready for the Brand Split, Enzo and Cass could even be split up as well so right now their future is up in the air.
Whilst adding Enzo and Cass to the match will definitely grab the attention of many fans that are currently enjoy the duo's work, it could be argued that WWE did make a mistake in not using this as an opportunity to bring in more talent that will be needed after July 19th, but as ever WWE will obviously have a fool proof plan.
