Manchester United have signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic and are closing in on a deal for Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Manchester City have purchased Nolito, Chelsea have secured the services of Michy Batshuayi while Arsenal have splashed out on…Takuma Asano.
It’s fair to say that Arsenal’s activity in this summer’s transfer window in terms of attacking talent doesn’t quite live up to some of their rivals - especially after they suffered the embarrassment of being rejected by Leicester striker Jamie Vardy.
But fear not, Gooners, Arsene Wenger knows he doesn’t have to sign a world-class striker in the coming months.

The north London club returned to pre-season training today and the 23-year-old forward was seen back at the London Colney pitches following his three loan spells at Crystal Palace, Ajax and Charlton.

Of course, it’s hardly surprising that Arsenal fans aren’t particularly exciting to see Sanogo return. After arriving in the summer of 2013, he has played 20 times in all competitions, scoring just once.
His loan spells haven’t been too successful either. One goal in 11 matches for Crystal Palace last season was followed up by zero strikes in his five matches for Ajax this campaign. Meanwhile, The Sun claim that Wenger have already spoken to both Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku as his search for a striker continues.
