Either Cristiano Ronaldo or Gareth Bale was always going to steal the show in the Euro 2016 semi-final between Portugal and Wales.
The Real Madrid superstars were facing off against each other knowing a standout performance could lead their respective teams to the final.
And it seems Ronaldo couldn't resist the chance to grab the headlines, scoring one and setting up one to give Portugal a two-goal lead and send them into a showdown with either France or Germany on Sunday.

Ronaldo the difference
CR7 got the first goal of the game with a wonderful header, towering over Wales' defence to reach the ball first.
If that wasn't enough, minutes later he was instrumental as Portugal found the back of the net again.
Portugal's main man
In all honesty, it looked as if he had his eye on goal again, but he may have inadvertently set up his former Manchester United team-mate Nani for the second to add to Wales' misery.
Wales must have feared that the superstar would be their undoing, but given the resources at their disposal, they can still be proud that they managed to contain him for as long as they did.
Ronaldo may still be searching for his first goal from a free-kick at a major tournament, but he won't be worrying about that too much, given that he's now equaled Michel Platini's record as the highest goalscorer in European Championship history.
And you wouldn't bet against him breaking that record in the final.
