Cristiano Ronaldo's family celebrate wildly to Portugal reaching Euro 2016 final

Portugal reached the final of Euro 2016 after they beat a brave Wales side at the Stade des Lumieres in Lyon last night.

After a close first half, it was Cristiano Ronaldo who made the difference, scoring a thumping header in the 50th minute before setting up Nani for a second three minutes later. The result meant Ronaldo's Real Madrid teammate Gareth Bale and his country were dumped out of the tournament after a brilliant run.

The Portuguese talisman has millions of fans worldwide, but none of them are bigger supporters than his own family, who were seen celebrating wildly at home last night.

A video has appeared online (scroll down to see) showing his family, including his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, overjoyed at the fact that the two-time World Player of the Year had secured his side's place in the Euro 2016 final in France. They can be seen jumping around and screaming whilst celebrating Portugal's accomplishment.

It's the second time that the country has reached the final of the European Championships, and Ronaldo will be hoping to inspire his side to victory for the first time after finishing runners-up to Greece in Euro 2004.

They face either Germany or hosts France in the final, with those two teams going head-to-head tonight for a place in Sunday's final. Germany will be made favourites, although the advantage of playing on home soil will not be overlooked by France.

Portugal have reached the final after winning only one game in 90 minutes so far this summer.

They required extra time to beat Croatia in the round of 16, and penalties to overcome Poland in the quarter-finals so Ronaldo's family would have been even happier that Portugal were able to get the job within 90 minutes against a stubborn Welsh side.
