Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be prepared to let Wales international Joe Allen leave Anfield if he can secure the signature of Mahmoud Dahoud.
This has been reported by the Telegraph, who claim that Allen has as many as six clubs interested in signing him.
The 26-year-old, who played a key role in Wales' extraordinary run to the Euro 2016 semi-final, has been heavily linked with a return to Swansea City.

Indeed, the same report indicates that the Swans have already failed with one bid for the player's signature. It has been documented that Liverpool want as much as £11m for Allen, who has just one year remaining on his current contract with the club.
Allen's brilliant form over the course of the last few weeks surely hasn't gone unnoticed, but is there really a realistic chance that he will become a first-team regular for the Reds next season?

It's fair to say that Allen's future at Liverpool is far from certain, but much could depend on the club's pursuit of Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Dahoud.
Dahoud, 20, is a Syrian-born German footballer who enjoyed a prominent season in the Bundesliga last term. Despite his relatively young age, he made as many as 30 league appearances, scoring five goals and racking up eight assists.
It's safe to say, then, that he would improve the Liverpool side in terms of creativity ahead of the 2016/17 campaign.
After finishing the Premier League campaign in eighth position last term, the Liverpool boss will surely be desperate to make an impact on the Premier League title race in the immediate future.
It certainly won't be easy for the Reds to once again challenge towards the summit of the division, but a couple more top-class additions could help them thrive.
There's every reason to believe that Sadio Mane from Southampton will prove an inspired buy, while fellow signing Marko Grujic could also have a key role to play over the coming years.
The Liverpool hierarchy will most definitely be busy before the close of the transfer window - a number of other stars, including striker Christian Benteke and winger Jordon Ibe, are expected to move on - but it will be interesting to see how many more players Klopp recruits.
