New York quarterback Eli Manning has been speaking ahead of what should be an interesting season for the Giants.
Manning is confident that the team have strengthened over the off-season and he feels that they are now ready to end their long wait for a play-off game.
Manning believes that the team can make the post-season in 2016 and it could be hard to argue with him given their moves to improve certain areas this off-season.
"It's just a matter of, hey, the talent is there, can we put it together, can we find a way to win the games and play our best football when we need to?" - Manning on the Giants' 2016 chances
Speaking with the New York Post, Manning seems confident ahead of the new season especially with a new head coach on the sidelines.
It will now be on the shoulders of Ben McAdoo to take the Giants into the post-season and it goes without saying that a lot of focus will be on how he manages the clock.
Several times in 2015, the Giants lost leads late following some bad clock management - something that they're hoping will change next year.
With new recruits on their defense and of course, star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr looking unstoppable, it is not unthinkable that we could be seeing the Giants in the post-season.
While the Giants have a very real chance at the NFC East title, they face some very talented competition if they are planning on winning the conference championship.
With the Carolina Panthers, Arizona Cardinals, Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks all looking ready to roll, the Giants could still have it all to do even if they make the play-offs.
New York haven't reached the play-offs since 2011 when they went on to beat the New England Patriots at Super Bowl XLVI.
