Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has told defenders Tyler Blackett and Guillermo Varela that they will be sold this summer.
This has been reported by Sky Sports, who claim that Mourinho has deemed them surplus to requirements at Old Trafford.
Blackett, who enjoyed a fairly prominent role in the United team during the 2014/15 campaign, spent last season out on loan at Celtic, while Varela has played his fair share of matches for the club over the course of the last year.

The report claims that both players aren't training with the first-team squad after being told they will be moved on.
It has been claimed, however, that Mourinho is still keen to promote young players from the academy and has already identified Axel Tuanzebe and Timothy Fosu-Mensah as stronger options.

Tuanzebe, 18, was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and has previously been tipped for success by Les Kershaw, who is the club's academy adviser.
"He's a very, very good player," said Academy adviser Les Kershaw. "And is one of them that I really like because he has a strong personality."
Fosu-Mensah, who can play in a number of different positions, impressed during spells with the first-team last season and clearly has the potential to become a fine player for the club.
