Despite signing a UFC contract back in 2014, CM Punk is yet to make his debut in the cage. It was recently announced this year that Punk will face Mickey Gall at UFC 203 in what is currently the only Welterweight fight announced for the event.
UFC 203 will take place September 10th and the eyes of many WWE fans will be on CM Punk. This will be the first UFC fight to feature someone who became famous for their career in World Wrestling Entertainment since the recent Brock Lesnar/Mark Hunt fight at the UFC 200 event.
It was speculated by many that if Brock Lesnar were to pick up the victory against Mark Hunt, the pressure would be on CM Punk to also pick up a victory. With Lesnar managing to win his fight via decision, that pressure is now on Punk to emulate it or even do better than Lesnar.

Rightfully or wrongly, people will compare Punk and Lesnar's fights as they both share a similar background with their WWE careers.
While Lesnar was able to out wrestle Mark Hunt, it's still unknown whether Punk will attempt to use his wrestling background to his advantage against the much younger Mickey Gall. If he does, this will just add to the fans feeling the need to compare the two bouts.

There have been rumours that CM Punk's training fights have not gone as well as he had hoped. Fans have not yet had the opportunity to see Punk fight due to such things as "injuries". Fans have joked about Punk's two-year undefeated streak as he has not yet had a fight.
With Gall currently looking very good for a new UFC talent, Punk will not have an easy run in his debut battle with the much younger and more experienced guy. There has been concern among Punk fans that he left it too long to make a debut in the UFC but only time will tell if there is anything to that comment.
Now that Lesnar made the one-night-only transition from a WWE Wrestler to a successful and victorious UFC fighter, the pressure is on CM Punk to do so.
