First thing's first, Cantona named Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as Euro 2016's best player.
Right, well we get that bit. After all, the Real Madrid superstar, despite leaving the field of play after just 25 minutes during the final against France, played a key role in helping his national side secure their first ever major trophy.

So Cantona's reasons for selecting Ronaldo were pretty similar to that, right? Wrong.
Cantona, as per ESPN, stated: "The winner of the commissioner award in the best player category is Cristiano Ronaldo for 'Mr Butterfly.' Oh, this wonderful scene where the butterfly comes and drinks Cristiano's tears."
Well, whatever that means, we're still fairly confident that Cantona enjoyed watching Ronaldo's performances throughout the competition.
Cantona's comments are all rather odd, but let's bring you back to reality for a minute. Following the game, Ronaldo insisted that Portugal deserved their Euro 2016 triumph after "many years of sacrifice".
Ronaldo speaks out
He stated, as per Sky Sports: "No one believed in us. I had already won everything with clubs. I lacked something with the national team. Portugal have deserved this after many years of sacrifice.
"It was not the final I wanted, but I am very happy. It is a trophy for all the Portuguese, for all immigrants, all the people who believed in us, so I am very happy and very proud."
Portugal boss Fernando Santos, meanwhile, hailed Ronaldo's ability to motivate his teammates.
He said: "Our skipper put in an immense effort; he has amazing team spirit.
"With him being there in the locker room and on the bench it was very important to us, to reach the players and motivate them.
"Twice he tried to get back on the pitch but him being there in the dressing room and on the bench was very important for us. He believed - just like myself - that tonight was our night."
