Manchester United fans seeking a glimpse of what to expect from new signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic need look no further than the trailer for an upcoming documentary focusing on the big Swede.

"Becoming Zlatan" will chronicle the 34-year-old’s meteoric rise from the promising goalscorer who broke through at Malmo in 1999 to the bona-fide superstar he became upon signing with Juventus, just six years later.

It was not always plain sailing for Ibrahimovic though, with the film set to chronicle the conflict-ridden years he endured in between with Dutch giants Ajax.

The period nevertheless represents a pivotal one in the shaping of Ibrahimovic, who went on to enjoy memorable spells in Italy and France before signing with Manchester United this summer.

Plenty of familiar faces feature in the film including Dutch legend Marco Van Basten and former England manager Fabio Capello, who was in charge of Juventus when Zlatan arrived at the club.

Ronald Koeman, who managed Ibrahimovic at Ajax, is also present while former Everton flop Andy Van Der Meyde is featured in the film, having come through the ranks at Ajax with Zlatan before moving on to Italy with Inter Milan.

Already featured at several notable film festivals across Europe, the documentary gets its UK release on August 15 and is likely to be popular among Manchester United supporters.

Ibrahimovic signed two-year deal with the Red Devils earlier this summer and is set to make his Premier League debut against Bournemouth on August 14.
