Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger has decided to stay and fight for his place at the club.
This has been reported by The Sun, who claim that Schweinsteiger is refusing to quit Old Trafford despite a below-par debut season on English soil.
Schweinsteiger, who represented Germany during Euro 2016, endured a torrid opening 12 months in Manchester, often failing to maintain his fitness.

Understandably, then, with Portuguese tactician Jose Mourinho now at the helm, it has been documented that the 31-year-old could be set for pastures new.
Indeed, Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint-Germain have recently been linked with the midfielder, but it seems that he isn't going anywhere at this stage.
Staying in Manchester
In fact, the report claims that the ex-Bayern Munich man has already told officials at the club's Carrington training complex that he's happy to stay at the club and wants to fight for a first-team spot.
A United source said: “Bastian will cost every penny of the £14million still owed to him on his two-years left.
“He has had talks with Jose over his future but it is still uncertain at this stage. The new few weeks will reveal more.
“He will not be pushed out and will sit tight for pay-off.”
It's far from certain at this stage as to whether new United boss Mourinho is open to handing the midfielder a shot at redemption at Old Trafford, but he may be left with no choice.
If Schweinsteiger is determined to stay on at the club, then Mourinho may as well take a look at him ahead of the new campaign.
He clearly isn't the player that he once was, but there's no reason why he won't be able to still play a key role at the club next term.
