Bayley rumoured to debut at WWE Battleground

The return of Sasha Banks prompted many to believe that she’ll be the latest female athlete to challenge Charlotte for the WWE Women’s Championship at Battleground. Instead, she’ll be going up against the champion and her protégé, Dana Brooke.

However, it won’t be a handicap match between the three women; it was announced on SmackDown this week that The Boss will have a mystery tag team partner, and it could finally be the debut everyone has been waiting for.

According to a rumour on NoDQ.com, former NXT Women’s Champion Bayley will be revealed as Banks’ mystery tag team partner, finally making her highly anticipated main roster debut in the process.

However, Bayley seems to be getting in on the action as well. She Tweeted a photo of herself alongside her potential partner at Battleground while donning her infamous shutter shades.

It seems like the rumour has been going on for far too long now, ever since Bayley dropped the championship to Asuka, but she’s remained on NXT. That could all be about to change as she’s expected to be a main roster member by the time the WWE draft takes place next week.

Realistically, Bayley is the perfect option for Banks. Their friendship is well documented on social media; they share incredible chemistry since they were rivals on NXT, and the reaction from the fans will be immense.
