Manchester United's new kit appears on poster

Published 1 Comments

The size and magnitude of Manchester United makes it very difficult for the club to keep any exciting news or developments under wraps.

News of the Red Devils' approaches for both Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Zlatan Ibrahimovic were reported weeks before the deals were officially confirmed. Even prior to that, the world's worst kept secret regarding their plans to replace Louis van Gaal with Jose Mourinho had been doing the rounds for months by the time he was formally unveiled.

And it appears the Man United hierarchy are having the same trouble with their new kit.

Mourinho's side jet off to China next week to step up their preparations for the coming season but as of yet, there has been little information concerning what their stars will be wearing with the new season just a month away.

Manufacturers Adidas are expected to reveal the new kit over the next few weeks, however, one shop in Hong Kong is already displaying posters of the latest strip.

In this latest PR disaster, Ashley Young is shown to be modelling a two-toned red shirt with white shorts and black socks.

One notable change is the placing of the traditional Adidas stripes down the side in contrast to last season's positioning along the sleeve.

It follows news last month that fans were reportedly able to buy the strip after it appeared in an Adidas store based in Delhi, although it was later claimed to have been put on sale by mistake and should not have been available to purchase.

With all of these leaks, fans are right to be feeling a little bit confused why the club are delaying the official unveiling any longer.
