A sold out crowd of 500 fans were lucky enough to grab hold of tickets to Paul Heyman’s One Man Show UK tour. Interesting stories were expected to be told, but one regarding CM Punk stuck out more than others.
F4WOnline.com have reported that Vince McMahon approached Heyman to align himself with CM Punk in 2012, and right away the plan was to have a feud between CM Punk and Brock Lesnar.
THE BEST VS. THE BEAST
The rivalry proved to be highly entertaining, allowing Punk to turn face once more while it helped draw even more heat on Heyman and Lesnar heading into their blockbuster match at SummerSlam, which was ultimately won by The Beast Incarnate.

However, Heyman said that he and Lesnar approached Vince before the match took place in 2013, and suggested that they stretch the feud out even further to WrestleMania XXX.
PUNK MIGHT HAVE STAYED
However, Vince had other ideas. He told them that Lesnar would face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX instead. Following that meeting, Heyman revealed that Lesnar told him he’d find a way to become the one in 21-1 and would end the streak.
This reveals two important things, firstly, this probably wasn’t a last minute decision as it has been reported ever since the streak ended.
Along with this, if Vince approved the idea of stretching out the Punk and Lesnar feud, there’s a chance that Punk would still be with the WWE now, and might not have walked out.
While it turned out brilliant for Lesnar, it’s a whole different story for Punk.
