N'Golo Kante's future at Leicester City has been in considerable doubt from the moment they lifted the Premier League title on May 7.
The France international enjoyed a superb debut campaign at the King Power Stadium, forging a reputation as a tough-tackling and energetic defensive midfielder.
Quite how Kante slipped under the radar for so long is a mystery, with his £5.6 million move from Caen last summer proving to be an absolute bargain.

Such was the 25-year-old's immense rise that a number of European giants have come calling, with Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid all having expressed interest at some point over the past two months.
Well, according to reputable French journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, Kante's future has finally been decided.
The RMC Sport writer claims Chelsea have completed a €36 million move for the Leicester star, subject to a medical in the next 48 hours.
The Blues are expected to announce a five-year deal upon its completion.
In signing Kante, Chelsea have added a top-class addition to their much-maligned midfield ranks. Cesc Fabregas and Nemanja Matic both flattered to deceive last term, failing to provide sufficient defensive cover in front of their back four.
So much so, in fact, that John Obi Mikel was arguably the Blues' best performing midfielder last term.
Kante appears to have become Chelsea's second big-name signing of the summer after Michy Batshuayi joined from Marseille for £33 million at the end of last month.
Antonio Conte has taken no time at all to bolster his side's options upon taking over as manager, with further arrivals and departures expected.
The aforementioned duo of Fabregas and Matic have been linked with former manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford, while Diego Costa has reportedly told Chelsea's hierarchy that he wants a return to Atletico Madrid.
