Middlesbrough striker Tuncay Sanli has been pencilled in for a return to action at the end of next month after suffering a slight tear to his medial ligament.
Boro have scotched reports that the Turkey international will be ruled out until next year with the problem and hope to have him available for the home clash with Manchester City on Tuesday, October 28.
Boss Gareth Southgate told the club`s official website: "It`s a shame for Tuncay. However, we`ve got strength in depth in that area now and it gives opportunities to the other lads."
