Everton manager David Moyes has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association after being sent off during Sunday's win at Stoke.

Moyes was sent to the stands by referee Alan Wiley after complaining about the match official's failure to award a penalty for handball.

The FA said in a statement: "Everton manager David Moyes has been charged with improper conduct. The charge relates to Moyes' touchline behaviour during Everton's match against Stoke on September 14."

The statement continued: "Moyes has until October 2 to respond to the charge."
