Two WWE superstars had a backstage fight at Draft

Published 12 Comments

WWE superstars are used to 'fighting' inside the squared circle, but those encounters very rarely spill over into outside the ring.

That is exactly what happened last night as two WWE stars are reported to have gotten into a fight backstage.

According to a report from PW Insider, Simon Gotch and Sin Cara got into it before the WWE Draft on SmackDown Live.

"Multiple sources have confirmed that earlier today, there was a fight between Sin Cara and Simon Gotch of the Vaudevillains backstage at Smackdown in Worcester, MA at catering," the report from Mike Johnson started off as saying.

"While PWInsider.com has not yet learned what sparked the altercation, we have confirmed that it did indeed take place," they added.

The news has since been confirmed by respected wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer on his Twitter account.

Sin Cara has a history of backstage fights in the WWE, with apparently triumphing over Sheamus in a quick brawl a few years ago.

According to a report from 2014, the former WWE Champion Sheamus picked a fight with Cara in a trainer's room, saying he was more important than the former Lucha Dragon. It didn't end well for the Irishman, who was swept off his feet and took a few quick punches before the two were separated.

Sin Cara was drafted to Raw last night while The Vaudevillains went to SmackDown. So the two shouldn't get in each others way much often.
